Nordbyhagen is located in Lørenskog municipality, in Akershus county, and borders on the municipalities of Skedsmo, Rælingen, Enebakk and Oslo.

Nordbyhagen is not far from the center of Lørenskog with Triaden Lørenskog Storsenter (a large shopping mall), Metro Senter and Lørenskog hus with a large selection of shops and services. Similar facilities can also be found in Strømmen and Lillestrøm.

Outdoor recreation and other recreational activities
Nordbyhagen is close to Østmarka, part of the forested and hilly area surrounding Oslo. Here, you will find good opportunities for hiking and skiing, lakes where you can swim and fish, and numerous other possibilities for recreation year-round. There is a golf course at Losby, an ice hall at Solheim, a lighted ski track in Østmarka, an indoor sports arena at Fjellhamar and several active sports clubs in the municipality.

Public transport
Public transport is well developed, both in the direction of Oslo and towards Lillestrøm. The closest bus stop is right outside the main entrance to Ahus, while the closest train station is called Fjellhamar and takes only ten minutes to walk to.

- Route 100,110 and 300 service the hospital to and from Oslo and Lillestrøm
